NextRoot is a small software development company based in Timisoara, Romania. We are developing mobile apps especially for the iOS framework. In May 2011 we created a small app – Instamap (http://www.instamapapp.com/) as a personal project. The app represents a client for the Instagram photo sharing app (http://www.instagr.am/) available on the iPhone AppStore and soon on the Android MarketPlace. Our app was initially designed for iPad but, a month after the launch we released an iPhone version for the app as well. The app was sold through Apple AppStores in more than 4,500 units since its launch in June 2011 at a price of $1.99.

Business tourism is a self contained industry that in Romania is just shaping up. M.I.C.E. (meetings, incentives, conferences, and events) is a niche that, so far, only travel agencies, some venues (purpose built and/or the big hotel chains), and several independent players have started focusing on. There are governmental structures in place or too much expertise on this topic. Eventeam is a dedicated team with a focus on business tourism and business events only. The main activity is event management, varying from on-site event management to sales&marketing, sponsors & speakers management to stakeholders analysis & creating event content. The long term aim is to build a local community of business tourism players, to create educational and networking opportunities, and ultimately to promote Timisoara as a destination.
