Venture Connect Foundation announces the start of a strategic collaboration with Ziarul Financiar for the upcoming pitching events. Ziarul Financiar will support the organization and promotion of the following sessions in 2013, thus taking some of the powers of the founder of the initiative, the Foundation Venture Connect. Venture Connect next meeting is scheduled for May 28 at Grand Cinema Digiplex.

Starting with 2013, the Venture Connect Foundation initiates a partnership with Ziarul Financiar in organizing its most important and appreciated project: Venture Connect. Working with Ziarul Financiar will assist with the transition to a new strategic phase for Venture Connect Foundation, creating the necessary context to achieve the objectives set for 2013. The two institutions will collaborate in attracting new partners to support the entrepreneurial community development and the possibility of assuring new investments.

The next session is scheduled for May 28, 2013 and is hosted by one of the most exciting locations in Bucharest: Grand Cinema Digiplex in Baneasa Shopping City. For the first time, the event will include two pitching sessions: the first part is designed for early-stage companies seeking seed investment in the second half following the presentations more mature companies that need a more substantial capital injection.

In the past two years, the initiative has strongly supported the entrepreneurial community in Romania and the region and working with Ziarul Financiar will provide start-ups and more mature companies greater exposure“, mentioned Orlando Nicoara, General Manager Mediafax Group and board member Venture Connect.

Entrepreneurs who want to present their business in front of some of the leading investment funds, accelerators, incubators in Romania and South East Europe can submit their projects by 15th May. Following the model of the meetings so far, the event will include two sessions of mentoring designed to improve presentations during the event.

In 2012, Venture Connect evolved from a bi-annual match-making event to an entire support and mentoring platform for entrepreneurs with: AngelConnect, digital community designed for business angels and identifying new funding opportunities, and by starting a mentoring program consisting of bi-monthly meetings: Venture Mentoring.

Within six sessions so far, Venture Connect has supported two significant investments: in 2011 the project www.tjobs.ro, online recruitment platform which has attracted funding from Andreas Cser (business-angel Fraser Finance), Alexis Bonte and Post-Privatization Foundation and BITTNET Systems (http://www.bittnetsystems.ro/), market leader in the field of Network Training in Romania, an investment from Razvan Capatina, Romanian business angel .
