  • Pioneers Festival coming close

    By Alexandra Dumitru on October 17, 2012

    Pioneers. Pioneers Festival. 29-31 October 2012.

    This should be the October motto for all European startups and tech geeks out there. Pioneers Festival (Vienna) is one of THE best initiatives out there, dedicated to a constantly maturing and growing entrepreneurial and business community. The start-up competition is wonderful, with 33000$ cash prize. We are more than exited to have among the 50 pre-selected companies, our very own Tjobs.ro project, company which also got funded through VentureConnect in 2011.

    What’s also great about Pioneers Festival is the great line-up of speakers present for the event, people which are meant to empower and mentor entrepreneurs and tech geeks alike. There are a billion other reasons for which we encourage you to attend Pioneers Festival, and hope to see so many of you there. For one, you have an inspiring conference line-up, a festival (just as cool as a rock-star concert), a dedicated program (two allocated tracks, “Trailsblazer” for inspiration and the “Startup Academy” with mentors digging deep into their expertise field during lessons), and an awesome start-up challenge (fingers crossed for Tjobs.ro). To that we add awesome parties, networking and an exclusive venue (did you google the place? It’s out of this world).

    And since we’re advocating Pioneers Festival so sincerely, we’re also very happy to share a wonderful opportunity for those who bought a ticket or have not done so until now:

    (1) “For all applicants who will buy (or have already bought) a startup ticket, there is a great lottery, including prizes such as: 30 x 90 seconds live elevator pitch on the Startup Academy stage, 5 x participation in the exclusive speakers dinner and 1 x private talk with one of the hottest guest speakers. All you need to do is to purchase a start-up ticket and fill out this form (podio.com/webforms/2272215/160781), then select your favorite prize offer for a chance to be in it to win it! Deadline, 24th October!”

    (2) Special offer:

    -> Start-ups:

    a) buy 1 Ticket: -10% on Startup Ticket with code “startup_special”

    b) buy 2 Tickets or more: 50% off on the total sum

    -> Basic Conference Pass:

    a) buy 1 Ticket: -15% on Conference Pass with code “15discount12”

    b) buy 2 Tickets or more: 50% off on the total sum

    -> Investors Pass & Super Investors Pass:

    a) buy 1 Ticket: -10% on Investors Pass & Super Investors Pass with code “investor_special”

    b) buy 2 Tickets: -50% on the second Ticket

    How does that sound? For any additional questions, drop a comment to this article or email me directly at alexandra[dot]dumitru[at]ventureconnect[dot]ro.

    Looking forward to seeing you in Viena at Pioneers Festival!

    As a frequent flier, I'm a Southwest "A List" member. As with any elite frequent traveler status, it's earned through loyalty: In this case, flying SWA at least 25 times in one year. Among other things, A-List carries the significant benefit of being able to skip ahead of long airport security lines in the "Fly By Lane".
